When I photograph families, I don’t just want to capture faces—I want to capture personalities, connections, and genuine moments. That’s why I prefer custom family portrait sessions over rushed mini sessions.
With mini sessions, there are often other families waiting in line, kids can get distracted, and everything feels hurried. It’s hard to truly relax when the clock is ticking and someone else is waiting right behind you.
In a custom session, the pace slows down. Your family has the time to breathe, laugh, and enjoy each other. The kids can warm up, parents can settle in, and together we can create portraits that feel authentic and timeless.

You may notice that we do things a little different than most photographers.
My family session collections are booked by the amount of time, location and number of outfits.
All Family Sessions include:
-Pre-session 30 Minute consultation to discuss your vision and talk about the best options for clothing and location whether it be at my La Grange studio or at the location of your choice always considering the best time of day for your envisioned location as well as the best time of day for your family, especially if it includes young children with more rigid sleeping and eating schedules.
Detailed packages are listed below. Please keep in mind that digitals are edited for color, density and cropping, they are NOT retouched. Retouching can be purchased through an upgrade. PLEASE read all the details so you will understand what is included in each package!
Family Portrait Packages
30 Minute Studio Session
$295 plus tax
STUDIO SESSION - UP TO 30 MINUTES IN STUDIO, 1 OUTFIT
UP TO 6 PEOPLE FROM THE SAME FAMILY
Add $10 for each extra person over 6 people
You will receive 15 full resolution UN-retouched digital images with permission to print OR $295 in CREDIT to buy prints/products of your choice from your session at the a la carte pricing.
When you choose the print credit option your prints will be done professionally at a PRO lab through Diane Mueller Photography, guaranteeing correct color, printing and finishing.
YOU WILL ALSO GET A MATCHING FULL RESOLUTION DIGITAL FILE OF EVERY IMAGE YOUR PURCHASE PRINTS OR PRODUCTS FROM SO YOU CAN PRINT AND SHARE TO YOUR HEART'S DESIRE.
Session credit applies to this session ONLY and can NOT be transferred to other sessions.
A 50 percent deposit is due to reserve your session date and time with the balance due including sales tax on the date of the session.
30 MINUTE LOCAL LOCATION SESSION
$350 plus tax
UP TO 30 MINUTES IN ONE LOCATION

Up to one hour of photography time
FOR DISTANCES OUTSIDE 5 MILES FROM MY STUDIO A TRAVEL FEE WILL BE CHARGED AT $2.75 PER MILE (CHARGED ONE WAY) OVER 5 MILES

GREAT for families with small children who have very short attention spans.
Includes full group, individuals, and sub-grouping such as mom with kids, dad with kids, kids alone, mom and dad together
You will receive up to 22 full resolution UN-retouched digital images with permission to print OR $425 in CREDIT to buy prints/products of your choice from your session at the a la carte pricing.

OUTDOOR OR INDOOR FAMILY SESSION THAT CAN INCLUDE ONE MAIN GROUPING AND SMALLER SUB-GROUPINGS IN YOUR HOME OR AT YOUR LOCATION WITHIN 5 MILES OF THE STUDIO ... FOR DISTANCES OUTSIDE THAT TRAVEL WILL BE CHARGED AT $2.75 PER MILE (ONE WAY) OVER 5 MILES
