Things TO DO
Nearby Restaurants:
All of them, except Lorenzo’s, are in Onaway so they will be about a 8-10 minute drive from the Center. Lorenzo’s is about 4 minutes away heading toward Cheboygan on Mann Road. There is also a Subway restaurant in Onaway.
Things to do:
There are the activities/facilities guests can enjoy here at the Center – the gym (basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard, and the workout room), the pool and saunas (Open 10AM – 10PM), cross country skiing or snowshoeing, and ice fishing on Black Lake (although guests will need to bring their own ice fishing gear and they should make sure that the ice is safe before proceeding out onto the lake).
There is also a snowmobile rental company in Indian River. You cannot ride snowmobiles on UAW property but there are many snowmobile trails in the area where guests could ride.
The closest movie theater is the Kingston Theater in Cheboygan. Website: //www.northernmicinemas.com/
