Marco's Top 10 Wedding Day Tips and Photography Guide.
- Have all your details (shoes, dress, invitation, jewelry, all rings & flowers) together at the start of your day
- Have a photo timeline and send it to your bridal party so they are "in the know". The "groomsmen" should be 90% ready when it's their turn to be photographed.
- Add extra time for hair and makeup. (if you get done early you can relax and have a mimosa)
- Consider doing your hair up if it's a beach wedding. Hair might be messy looking due to wind.
- First Looks and Family photos before the ceremony might allow time for you to go to cocktail hour.
- Know when sunset is and schedule time to sneak out of your reception to grab of those "golden hour" shots.
- Make sure your photographer has backup equipment. The definition of professional is having back up gear. (especially camera body)
- You probably only need your photographer for 2 to 2.5 hours into the reception. After that the formalities have been done. (First dances, toast, and cake has been cut). Ask yourself, how many photos do you need of your party people dancing the night away? Unless you'r having a huge send off.... you could always do a sparker exit with your bridal party to get those shots.
- We give our couples guided direction to look their best. If we can turn them a little bit so they look a little thinner, everybody loves that. We want to capture your love and all the expressions in our photos.
- Have fun! Our couples feel at ease because we laugh and joke with them. Some might be dad jokes, but the expressions are priceless.

I started my love of photography in High School using my father’s Minolta Film Camera. That love of film lead me to the University of North Carolina Wilmington where I furthered my knowledge of lighting and story telling earning a degree in Film Studies.
