What to Wear Suggestions
GENERAL TIPS:
Wear what you like best and when in doubt, bring 1-2 alternative choices. If you feel good in what you are wearing, you'll exude confidence that will come through. If needed, this is a great time to get feedback from trusted friends about what really flatters you and looks great on you. You can also send Jenn pictures via text message at 512.576.2889 and she will help you to select what will photograph best.
FOR WOMEN:
In general, solids photograph much better than bold patterns. Think navy, gray, black, dark blues, greens and jewel tones for color inspiration.
Modest simple necklines are better than scoop necks for women for business photo sessions.
Long sleeves and 3/4 sleeves are better than short sleeves or sleeveless.
White can work well when a darker solid goes over it, via a sport coat, jacket or cardigan.
For women, jewelry is best kept simple unless it reflects your style and it is a signature for you. (Delicate necklaces can easily get off-center.) Classic jewelry, such as a strand of pearls, can work well.
FOR MEN:
The standard business look is a suit jacket, dress shirt and tie.
A dress watch or no watch is recommended.
A casual business look is often a jacket and open dress shirt, shirt and tie (no jacket), or dress shirt on its own.
For a no-jacket casual look, bring solid color shirts.
A white dress shirt by itself is a bad idea - unless you plan to wear it underneath something (jacket or sweater)
When in doubt, please bring 1-2 different jackets, shirt colors and ties.
