Most people don't realize how important the outfit is to a boudoir session. Wardrobe is where you can show off your personal style, accentuate certain parts of your body that you love, or conceal areas where you might be a little more self conscious.  We want to help you navigate through the myriad of outfit choices and find the perfect items for you!  Below are the outfit styles that we think work the best.  Let's dive in and check them out!

Bodysuits & Teddys:  These are by far our favorite because they almost always look amazing on any body type or style.  There are several styles to choose from depending on whether you want to accentuate your legs, tushie or chest.  Teddy's and Bodysuits are very similar in style, but typically vary in the amount of skin showing.  Bodysuits tend to cover a bit more, but the wide variation in styles make them one of the best styles to accentuate your favorite body parts!  Teddy's tend to be a bit more revealing, often made with sheer material like lace, and also typically have cups built in for a little added support.

Corsets & Bustiers: Corsets and Bustiers are great options for your shoot.  While similar in purpose, there are a few differences in structure.  Corsets have very strong boning built inside of the pieces to give very secure structure to the body. They're great for nipping and tucking a few inches here and there, enhancing your gorgeous curves.  One of the main differences between Corsets and Bustiers is that Corsets typically do not have cups or underwire built in, so can make someone look smaller or flat chested.  The focus is more on defining the waist than the bust.  Bustiers, however are built to define and lift the breasts, and are typically a little shorter than corsets.  

Bra & Panty Sets:  This category can be the most natural choice for a boudoir shoot, as most women already have these in their everyday wardrobe.  There are a lot of variations in bra styles, including push up, underwire, t-shirt, lace and sheer bras, and bralettes.  Push up bras tend to be the go-to for most women, but if you're smaller-chested, we suggest steering clear of this type of bra, as certain poses can create a gap between the cup and the breast that just isn't very flattering.  Panties, likewise, have about a million different styles to choose from, and you'll want to try a few to find what works best for your booty shape.  However, we find that a lace cheeky panty is flattering on pretty much anyone!  Victoria's Secret is a great place to start to find your perfect panty style since they have so many options.  They are also a great resource for finding the perfect bra style and size, as they offer free bra measurements and consultations.

Garter Belts and Stockings:  These are fantastic and sexy additions to any Teddy or Bra and Panty set.  Garter belts typically sit right at the waistline with adjustable straps that hang down your legs to attach the stockings.  Adding a sexy garter belt and some gorgeous stockings to your outfit are pretty much guaranteed to make your shots straight FIRE!

Necklaces & Bodychains:  Adding these to your boudoir outfit is a great way to insert some of your fantastic personality into your shoot.  We have seen a wide range of accessories in our shoots, ranging from simple pearls to bold statement necklaces, and even a few sexy body chains thrown in.  Amazon is a great place to start looking for the perfect accessory for your boudoir shoot.

Implied nudes:  At the end of every boudoir shoot, we want our clients to feel not only comfortable in their own beautiful skin, but also strong and confident in their beauty, inside and out.  We love shooting beautiful pieces of lingerie, but the most rewarding thing for us to shoot is someone who is comfortable and confident and who trusts us enough to strip down to their bare beauty for some implied nudes.  This is always done to client's comfort, and can be accomplished without ACTUALLY stripping down.  As photographers we feel the most accomplished when our clients walk out of a session feeling empowered in their strength and beauty, which is why we always give the option to shoot a few implied nude shots at the end of every session.
