Engagement sessions. Some guys are not about the photos. Mine included.
Are you stressing out about your upcoming engagement session? Not sure if your fiancé is going to enjoy it or want to participate? Check out these tips to get him to cooperate. Help a guy out. Read below.

uniquely you...and him.
How to mentally prepare your fiancé for your session to get him to cooperate.
• In the time leading up to the session, explain to him what’s going to happen that day. He’s probably never done anything like this before and doesn’t know what to expect. He’s not on Pinterest all the time looking up cute engagement photos or anything like that, so he may not know anything about this kind of session, or even understand what it’s for. Tell him that the photographer is going to have you guys probably hold hands, cuddle, hug and kiss. You want to explain the session to him prior so it’s not scary for him and he won’t feel awkward as it’s happening. Let him know that it will be OK because you’ll be there the whole time and it will all be good.
• He can have a drink during your session to help loosen you up. (Not to get drunk, but to ease his nerves... let me know if I need to bring a beer lol)• Incorporate his ideas in the session. Ask him if he has any ideas for the session. If he has something he wants to do, then he will be more excited about them because he will feel involved and like it’s about him too, not just all about you. Think about what makes you guys unique as a couple and incorporate those ideas into the session, whether it be a location, props, clothing, etc.

Ok.. not going to lie.. this session was flowed insanely well because she's an actress. Lucky for me these are are so in love that it oozes from the camera.. am I right? They were on the same page. The tips noted above are to help you two be on the same page when it's time for your photos. I'll be really transparent and let you know that my hubby hates taking photos.. oh the irony... and we did not take engagement photos. Of the tips noted above.. I should given him a few beers and had him do it. Note to self: figure out what will make him comfortable in front of the camera and go from there.

Testimonials

Maria was with my every step of the way, took amazing photos and kept the price within my budget. We had so many last minute changes not to mention the day of the wedding it was blazing hot like 106 or something is was also crazy windy and Maria handled it all like a pro. I love my wedding photos thank you Maria!!

Maria was an absolute dream! I could not believe the quality of my photos! She nailed every single one! Although I had some difficult members of my bridal party, she managed to control the situation to provide me my dream photos! I cannot wait to have another event when I need photographs! My only problem is that I do not have enough wall space to display all of my photos!
